Sending Love & Prayers

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I’m sharing a special card I created using a recently released digital kit from Angie Blom Digital Designs called “Sending Love & Prayers.”

I’m sure by now you are seeing lots of beautiful sunflower cards being created to show love and support to our brothers and sisters who are currently being tragically effected by the events unfolding in Ukraine.

Here is the card I created using the Sending Love and Prayers kit:

Love and prayers

I started off with a white A2 cardstock base cut using X stitched dies from Gina Marie Designs. I was SO excited to see these nesting dies back in stock!

After printing the image onto Canson multi-media paper (it’s the only watercolor paper I can fit in my printer. I just have to be sure to use VERY little water!) I colored the image with Arteza waterbrush pens.

Once dry, I used a smaller X stitched die in the package to trim my image as shown.

Three clear Nuvo drops were added (can you see them?) and then I adhered the image to my base with foam adhesive.

The sentiment was printed and a different stitched die was used to cut it to size. Foam adhesive was used to pop the sentiment from my main image. Blue and white twine was tied at the top as an accent.

Here’s a closer look:

Angie from Angie Blom Digital Designs will be donating 100% of the proceeds from the purchase of each kit sold to assisting the needs of those so tragically affected by the events unfolding currently in Ukraine. I would love for you to consider visiting the shop and grabbing this gorgeous kit to add to your collection.

I am sending love and prayers to not only our brothers and sisters in Ukraine but to all those around the world whose lives are being unnecessarily devastated by foreign and domestic conflict.

As Jimi Hendrix once so beautifully stated: “When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace”

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have an INKredible day!

Let’s Be Merry!

HI Friends!

Today I’m sharing another card for the byshcardmakers blog hop! I used a beautiful digital image from Angie Blom Digital Designs today. This Santa image has so many possible ways to be brought to life, whether water colored, paper pieced or Copic colored as I have done here :

To create this card I started off with a black cardstock base cut at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 and then trimmed another teal piece for my mat 1/8 of an inch smaller. The digital image was printed on Hammermill cardstock and I trimmed it down 1/8 smaller than the teal mat (as shown)

Using alcohol markers I colored the snowman and then cut out a medium sized snowflake using a die. I adhered the snowflake with glue and placed a pretty rhinestone in the middle. I also scattered a few more rhinestones around the card for some extra bling.

This design is a very easy and quick layout to mass produce which is perfect as the holiday rush tends to sneak up on us and we get a bit pressed for time!

Don’t forget to follow along and participate in the hop with us! We have some fabulous prizes from our sponsors just for you!

Thank you for stopping by and have an inkredible day!

It’s a “merry” time to hop with us!

Hi Friends!

It’s a “merry” time to hop with us as we hope to inkspire you to get a head start on your holiday greetings! We have some amazing sponsors that have graciously gifted some awesome prizes for the hop so be sure to follow along all week with us here at : BYSHcardmakers blog!

To start off the hop today , I am sharing a card I created with THE cutest digital image from Angie Blom Digital Designs! Don’t these adorable elves just put a smile on your face?!

Let’s Be Merry: Angie Blom Digital Designs

The base of my card is a black cardstock base cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I trimmed a piece of pretty patterned paper 1/4 inch smaller and glued that paper to my base.

The snow hill was created by simply cutting a piece of white cardstock with a curved, scalloped die cut. I glued that piece to my mat as shown

After printing the digital elf image onto Hammermill cardstock, I used my Scan & Cut to cut out the image and brought it to life by using a mix of my Spectrum Noir & Copic markers. I just recently started my Copic collection so I currently use both to cover the color combinations I need!

Once colored, I used foam adhesive to attach my image to the card base. The sentiment was trimmed using a die and also adhered with foam tape. I like dimension on my projects so I tend to pop up many of my images.

There you have it! Pretty easy, right? Be sure to enter your cards as well so we can all see your gorgeous creations and maybe even win a prize!

Thanks for stopping by & have an inkredible day!
